With the Variable Prize Tiered Auction, you have the power to increase your winnings! There are two factors that affect the prize you win at the end of the auction - the base value and the bid pack multiplier.
The base value is based on the final price of the auction. The inital base value is 100 voucher bids, which are not multiplied. Once the final price of the auction reaches $1.00, the base prize increases to a $10 gift card (ANY in Annies inventory). At $2.50, the base prize gift card value increases by $5. Then, for every $2.50 that the final price increases, the base prize goes up by $5. (currently capped at a final value of $25).
The bid pack multiplier comes into play if you have purchased a bid package within the previous 24 hours of the auction closing, each bid pack multiplies the final prize by a different amount, starting at 2x for buying a 50 bid package and ending with 10x for buying a 500 bid package. Reminder: bids must be purchased BEFORE the auction closes. You can combine bid pack purchases to create a bigger multiplier, but the multiplier is capped at 10x.
